Building links with Southeast Asia

With over 625 million people and more than 6500 higher education insitutions in the ASEAN region, and over 42,000 students in the UK, Southeast Asia is a key partner for the higher and further education sector.

The British Council are welcoming H.E. Vongthep Arthakalvalvatee, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN to the UK to explore synergies with partners in the whole ASEAN market, including through the current regional HE programme SHARE.

The opening reception will provide an opportunity to meet His excellency and other representatives from ASEAN countries based in the UK to network and discuss latest trends and challenges in the higher and further education sector. 

The reception is likely to be of interest to: Pro Vice-Chancellors with an international education mandate and senior representatives from university / college associations that work with Southeast Asia and internationally.
