About this opportunity
Working in partnership with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the British Council is looking for a research team or consortium to investigate the extent to which inter-institutional international collaboration contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research will add to the growing portfolio of evidence around the value of higher education in a development context.
The research will bring together case studies of international partnerships which have contributed effectively to sustainable development, interrogating how international cooperation has enabled success, and identifying lessons for institutional practice (with a focus on equity and sustainability in partnership development).
The research will distil how international collaboration makes possible levels of impact that wouldn’t be achievable within national boundaries
The research will build our understanding of the steps that partners take to consider the context of all partner institutions.
The research will increase our understanding of the relevance of the SDGs to how institutional internationalisation priorities are framed (and the drivers for this).
