On June 23 2016 the United Kingdom expressed via a Referendum its wish to leave the European Union. The outcome of the referendum will have major consequences for the UK’s work in education, research and international development. 

This report was commissioned by the British Council to provide guidance to any ‘body’ in the UK or globally on the the impact of the EU Referendum on the UK’s ability to access EU funds.

This report is an overview of in depth research on how the current access to EU funding may be affected, as well as on the potential consequences of Brexit on the political influence played by UK organisations in the area of education, culture, science and international aid.
