Zhang Xin

Zhang Xin has established herself as one of China’s leading entrepreneurs. Launching her career in finance, Zhang Xin worked for Barings PLC in Hong Kong, and later for Goldman Sachs in New York. She eventually moved back to Beijing, where she co-founded and is CEO of Soho China, the largest commercial real estate developer in Beijing. Alongside her work, Zhang Xin is a Board Member of the Council of Foreign Relations and a member of the Asia Business Council. 

Zhang Xin’s education in the UK (studying Economics at the University of Sussex and later a Master’s in Development Economics at the University of Cambridge) ‘profoundly impacted me, shaping the world view and values that have carried me through my career’. She has also won many prestigious awards, including BusinessWeek´s Stars of Asia Award 2005 and the Montblanc Arts Patronage Award.
