Mukund holds senior positions within the Tata Industrial Group, including Chairman of the Tata Council for Community Initiative.

As a Rhodes Scholar he credits the University of Oxford with teaching him to think analytically, and he compares the different study environments: “In India you had classrooms of 40 or 50 people; suddenly in the UK you had one tutor where you might be the only other person in the room. You really felt you were in an environment which valued deep thought and reflection on important issues.”

Studying in the UK prepared Mukund for his new career with Tata, where he was made an offer straight away.  He said that “the ability to immerse yourself in a different context, with very different people is one of the main benefits of studying in the UK”.
