By combining the UK’s world-leading educational framework with world-famous film and TV characters Shaun the Sheep and Timmy, we have created a dynamic and enjoyable way for children aged 2-6 to learn English.

Learning Time with Shaun and Timmy introduces children and parents around the globe to the much-loved characters that Aardman have created and through this we promote the best of the UK’s creative industry internationally.

A unique partnership’s product portfolio

Learning Time with Shaun & Timmy: Learning Time with Shaun & Timmy is our network of specially-designed teaching centres offering children aged 2-6 the chance to learn English naturally through play in an immersive environment.

The programme combines UK’s world-leading Early Years Foundation Stage educational framework with the world-famous film and TV characters Shaun the Sheep and Timmy allowing the British Council to create an exciting and enjoyable way for kids to learn English.

Our pilot centres opened in Chile and Singapore in early 2015. Our centre in Mexico City opened in October 2015. Watch our video to find out more about the methodologies we use in the centres.

Learning Time with Timmy app: Learning Time with Timmy is a fun and educational app for English language learning that complements the face to face learning programme in our centres.

Children discover new English words for learning numbers, colours and shapes while playing games with Timmy and his friends, the stars of the popular animated television show ‘Timmy Time’.

The App was globally released in February 2015 when it reached Number 1 in the Top Paid apps chart in the kids’ category in more than 17 countries. It also placed at number 1 in education category in 22 countries and number 1 in the overall chart in 3 countries.

'Timmy Time is a show without dialogue whose characters can excite and encourage children whatever language they speak. Drawing on these values the app uses Timmy and his friends to inspire young children to discover and start learning simple English words in a fun and playful way.’

Learning Time with Shaun: Learning Time with Shaun is a collection of English language learning products aimed at primary school children. It is currently being delivered as part of our Primary Plus programme in East Asia.
