IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are now pleased to introduce a brand new service called Online IELTS Results Service for those candidates who register for IELTS with British Council. This service enables candidates to view their test results online, after 6pm on the 13th day after the test date. Just simply click the link below and fill in the personal details as required. The online test result will only be available on the13th day after the test, and within 28 days of the test date.

IELTS BAND SCALE

There is no pass or fail mark. A score is reported for each module of the test. The individual module score is then calculated to produce an Overall Band Score of one to nine. Overall Band Scores are reported in whole and half Bands for each module.

Different institutions have their own entrance requirements and may require minimum scores in particular modules. In general, universities request an Overall Band Score of 6.0 or 6.5 for entrance to academic courses. You are advised to check the score required with the particular institution to which you are applying.

TEST REPORT

Scores are recorded on an official Test Report Form, showing overall ability, as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking.

The IELTS Test Report Form will be sent to you by registered mail 13 calendar days after your test.

We will give you only one copy of the Test Report Form

If you require more than five extra copies to be sent to institutions, or your request is made after you submit the application form, you will need to pay NT$100 plus the postage for each copy of the Test Report Form

The test result is valid for two years..

It is possible to retake the test in the following session.

ENQUIRY ON RESULTS

If you wish to request a re-mark of your result, you must complete the ENQUIRE ON RESULTS Form and forward it along with your original Test Report Form and payment of NT$4,100 to the test centre where you took the test. All enquiries must be made within six weeks of the test date. You will be notified of re-mark results between 8 to 10 weeks after submission of the re-mark form. Should there be a change of test result, a full refund of the re-mark fee will be issued to you. For more information, please contact our Examinations Services .
