SCHOOL LINKS
GLOBAL GATEWAY- THE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION ONE-STOP SHOP
This was launched in February 2005 by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), and is managed by the British Council as a one-stop shop for international partnerships. Global Gateway enables those in education across the world to engage in creative partnerships at all levels, including schools, teachers, school leaders, and local authorities. These partnerships can link Taiwan to any countries in the world to exchange downloadable lesson plans and materials on a range of subjects and exchange ideas with educational practitioners.
For Taiwanese schools and educational practitioners, it’s as simple as registering on the site and submitting details of the kind of schools you are looking for. Find out more.

ICT IN EDUCATION
NCSL’S SLICT PROGRAMME
The National College for School Leadership (NCSL) was launched in 2000. NCSL is aiming to make a difference to the lives and the life chances of children and young people through the development of world-class school leaders.
Strategic Leadership of ICT (SLICT) is a unique programme developed in partnership by NCSL, Becta and SSAT focusing on the strategic role of school leaders in leading and developing ICT. The programme seeks to engage school leaders in developing and implementing their vision for learning in their school. SLICT is not a skills-based ICT course, but an opportunity for school leaders to build their knowledge and understanding of key issues around technology to enhance and extend learning in and out of schools.
The structure of the programme is mainly composed by school visit, peer meeting and discussion and collaboration between schools. 2007-08 programmes provide the opportunity for you to participate in NCSL's SLICT programme. If you have the strategic responsibility for ICT in your school you may now be eligible to attend SLICT. Find out more
