British Council will present the Creative Cities and Creative Economy projects in the framework of Yota Space festival of the audiovisual art that will take place in St.-Petersburg from 5th till 19th December.
Five floors of a former supermarket will for two weeks simultaneously host the city's surprise entertainment centre and a museum of contemporary art, and will be filled with the life and inventions of the future. The festival will be opened with a concert of the best European musicians and DJs (Hot Chip, SCSI9, D-Pulse, Masters of Skweee).

The participants of the festival are the key figures in the audiovisual art:
AV:in audiovisual academy is a comprehensive online educational program for audiovisual studies, created by Yota and Cyberbrothers under the support of the British Council, that provides the AV:in academy with the resources and educational programmes. Career Outcomes module of AV:in course is the part of these initiatives. Chris Levin works with light and laser technologies, adhering to the principle that it is light which is the driving force of life itself. He came to prominence due to a 3D installation, which was dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II, that projects a series of holographic portraits of the soul-diva Grace Jones and the innovative lighting technique exhibited in “Laserpod”
Jason Bruges is a specialist at unusual and ground-breaking installations that interact with people and the environment. His work stands at the very edge of architecture, light design and, quite simply, the true magic of invention.
United Visual Artists is the famous team of London artists, architects and light designers, who create interactive architecture installations, and who design and stage massive performances for MTV, fashion shows and the international tours of such musicians as The Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Arctic Monkeys and U2.
Musion is the team of experts in holographic and audiovisual installations. One of their masterpieces is the 3D version of the Gorillaz team at the the MTV Europe Awards 2005.
Special guest of the festival is Brian Eno – composer, musical theorist and inventor, multi-instrumentalist and one of the greatest sound producers in the history of music, founder of Lumen studio
