Roma Tearne is a Sri Lankan-born artist and novelist living and working in Britain. She learned to love books at an early age but ended up pursuing a successful career as a painter. Eventually, though, capturing light and colours in oils led her back to words, and to writing her own novels.

Roma Tearne’s debut novel “Mosquito” makes waves in the literary world. According to the Guardian “Mosquito” lyrically captures a country drenched in both incomparable beauty and the stink of hatred.’

Soon Russian audience will also have the chance to get acquainted with the renowned work. Publishing house “Phantom Press” is already preparing the book to publication. Moreover, Roma Tearne is coming to Moscow in December, to take part in the events of Non-Fiction Book Fair supported by the British Council
