British Council Ambassadors

We are working to establish a group of MPs and Peers who are recognised in Parliament, and overseas as British Council champions. They will act as advocates for the UK, and for the work the British Council does to promote the UK.

British Council Ambassadors receive briefings on their specific areas of interest, and are offered regular opportunities to be updated and consulted on the work we are doing in the UK, and abroad. They are alerted to significant parliamentary business concerning the British Council, and are invited to be actively involved in any relevant events or projects.

If you are interested in becoming a British Council Ambassador for the UK please contact the Parliamentary Affairs Team.
