An expanding European Union and a more interconnected Europe has brought down barriers – physical, political, economic and cultural – bringing increased opportunities and mobility for European citizens, but also giving rise to a new set of challenges and tensions.
We are moving towards promoting UK cultural relations in a more multilateral way with most of our projects involving partners from several countries.
Our key themes respond to the challenges Europe faces in becoming an increasingly open, creative, competitive and global player.
