Assessment is continuous, based on your work throughout the year and the report which your parents receive at the end of each term.
These courses, which cover beginners to more advanced levels, provide you with a knowledge of English that will enable you to function in any area which you may come into contact with. English, not just at school but also when travelling, using the Internet or in your future academic and/or professional lives.
At some of the levels you will receive a portfolio of materials to focus your learning.
Our qualified and experienced teachers understand the strategies needed to motivate you and provide you with an interesting, varied and full learning experience. They are your first point of contact and you can always ask them if you have any questions or doubts.
Our methodology is student-centred and helps you develop your own learning strategies to become more independent and confident as a learner.
Our courses include preparation for Cambridge ESOL Examinations. The diplomas obtained from these exams are internationally recognised and give added value for your future academic and professional life.
Our young learner level system is mapped to the Council of Europe Framework.
Each level has a teacher specifically responsible for that level to supervise pedagogical aspects and guarantee the consistency and coherence of the student’s progress. In addition there is a Senior Teacher who is responsible for pedagogical and discipline matters at these levels, as well as coordinating resources and materials. In this way we make sure that the learning process is clearly structured and consistent.
A system of continuous assessment is used, based on class work, homework, behaviour and test results. At the end of each term parents will receive a report detailing the progress of the students in these areas.
Contact with parents is not restricted to Parents’ Days but is available whenever you request it or whenever the teacher feels it is necessary, for example if there are worries about the progress that the student is making, their attitude in class and absences, and so on.
