The International Young Creative Entrepreneur Awards were devised by the British Council’s creative economy unit to celebrate the achievements and develop the potential of young creative entrepreneurs across the world.
In 2004 we launched the first award for publishing where we sent Ani Almario of Adarna Publishing to the UK. This was followed in 2005 by the design awards with Jay Aldeguer of Islands Souvenirs Cebu representing the Philippines. Last year, we sent Louie Talan of Wombworks Inc, who is also the driving force behind Musiclaban, to the UK to compete for the music awards
The annual awards are open to young creative entrepreneurs between 25-35 years old from countries of emerging economies.
