The British Council/BBC website for teachers of English brings together everything busy teachers need for the classroom and the staffroom - lesson plans, worksheets, teaching tips, articles as well as information about professional development, training, conferences and qualifications. This month's guest teacher was Nepal's Laxman Gnawali - read his blog on teaching English in Nepal and see what other teachers around the world thought.

We organised a two day workshop on Building Effective Partnerships and Global Dimensions  on 10-11 July 2008 in Kathmandu. 18 teachers who are the partnership coordinators of their respective schools for the DFID Global Schools Partnerships, participated in this professional development workshop. The teachers shared their experiences and challenges that they come across as coordinators and looked for solutions to these challenges and ways forward for the partnership.
