As part of its ‘Skills for Employability’ programme, which aims at connecting people and ideas across the Skills Sector internationally, the British Council is delighted to announce a prestigious two-day international conference in Amman, Jordan on 14-15 December 2009 on the theme of ‘Quality Assurance in Skills Education and Workforce Development’.
‘Towards Better Skills Education’ will bring together senior Ministry representatives and relevant agencies, quality assurance specialists, educational institutions, NGOs and donor organisations from the Middle East, the Near East, North Africa and the UK for a series of presentations, interactive workshops and discussion sessions.

- Examine key challenges in improving the quality of skills education
- Explore potential solutions and approaches between countries sharing the same challenges.
- Institutional self-assessment and quality improvement strategies
- Teaching performance as an indicator of quality
- Employer engagement as a vehicle to enhance quality.
All speakers and contributors will be leading thinkers and practitioners in the field of Quality Assurance in education.
