The University of Huddersfield,UK, has launched a prestigious new scholarship scheme.The Patrick Stewart Scholarship scheme, founded in honour of the University's Chancellor & to be made to outstanding international students, are designed to make a university of Huddersfield education more affordable to international students, with priority given to applicants of high academic bility who may not otherwise have been able to afford to undertake higher study.

The University of Edinburgh is offering Postdoctoral Scholarships for candidates in any area of the Humanities & Social Sciences, whose work falls within the scope of one of the Institute for advanced Studies' current Research Themes or across disciplinary boundaries in the Humanities.

The Scholarships are tenable for a period of three to nine months, from 1st September 2007. Awards will be up to a mximum of 10,000 pounds.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 13 July 2007. Applications recieved after that date will not bge considered. Applicants should ask referees to write directly to the Institute by this date. Decisions will be communicated in early August.
