To register, you need to download the IELTS application form. Print this off and complete in blue or black ink. You then need to bring this, in person, to our centre in Muscat, with two passport photographs with a plain blue background, and a passport or national ID. Our exams registration centre at the VFS Visa Assistance Centre across Indian School Al Ghubra is open from Saturday to Wednesday, 0800 to 1500 hours.

When can you take the test?
You will be advised of the exam venue and timing, when you register. Please bring your valid ID with which you registered for the test, pen and pencil (an eraser and pencil sharpener. would also be useful).

There is a maximum number of candidates per test date, so please do not leave registering until the last minute, as you may not get a place.

How much will the test cost?
The test fee is 75.RO

Prepare for the test
We can help you prepare for your test with an IELTS study pack, containing a CD-ROM, handbook and practice papers. The pack costs 11 RO. You can also join one of our preparation courses to help you achieve the best possible results.

When and how will you receive your results?
Your results will usually be available after 1500, 13 days after the test date.

You will need to collect your results from our reception desk. You must bring your candidate number paper (from your test desk) and your national identity card/passport with you. Results cannot be given over the telephone, by fax or by e-mail.

What if I need to cancel or change the date of my test?
If you wish to cancel or change the date of your test, you must let us know at least five weeks before the test date, otherwise you will lose the whole fee and have to pay another test fee for the new date.

Candidates making any changes to a test date must give five weeks notice before the test date (cancellation or transfer), will be charged 20-RO.
