Our management of training and scholarships

We build partnerships with the UK and build human capacity for development through our  management of scholarships and training. We link individuals with opportunities in UK and around the world to enhance individual capabilities, support organisational development and contribute to mutual understanding.

What we offer

Our experience and expertise help our partners achieve individual and organisational learning objectives. We have wide networks within the UK higher education sector and globally, contacts with organisations and individuals in the UK public sector and access to multinational, medium and small enterprises. We manage all types of training event in-country, in the UK or in another country. Our staff are skilled and experienced in managing scholarships and training. We help our partners identify training needs and training solutions.

How we work

We target our activities to meet objectives. We know that success depends on our understanding of:

local circumstances
the context of programmes and projects
objectives, whether for a single academic course or a major series of attachments
the importance of work attachments and visits in building networks
the importance of thinking creatively to meet different needs.

What we do

We manage training and scholarships programmes for the UK government, other governments, international agencies and the private sector. We manage training activities within wider projects and programmes. We work in most subject areas and in the private, public and NGO sectors.

We tailor our services to our partners' needs and objectives. The services we offer include:

needs analysis
arranging academic courses, public and private sector placements, study tours, mentoring, distance learning, in-service training, and seminars
facilitating contacts between scholars and UK and European counterparts
support for individuals
developing alumni networks
monitoring individuals and programmes.

We can support a variety of overall objectives, depending on requirements:

public diplomacy
individual development
organisational strengthening
business development
public sector development.
