Climate change research in the UK can be classified as three categories: the science of climate change; living with the impact of climate change (adaptation); and reducing the effects of climate change (mitigation). Co-ordinates and integrates assessments of the impacts of climate change at regional and national levels that are led by stakeholders; provides a bridge between the researchers and the decision-makers in government organisations and business.

The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research
The Tyndall Centre brings together scientists, economists, engineers and social scientists, who are working together to develop sustainable responses to climate change through trans-disciplinary research and dialogue.
