Flooding, India © Donovan Wylie/ Magnum

A bridge becomes just another waterway as the monsoon floods turn Basirhat on the India-Bangladesh border into a vast lake. The rainy season for both countries has become more unpredictable, making the planting of crops and planning food supplies difficult. The number of people vulnerable to floods is expected to double to two billion worldwide by 2050.
