British Council Wales
Wales International Young Artist Award

Wales has a thriving creative industry and the Wales International Young Artist Award will not only identify a new pool of young talent across the creative sectors, but also nurture it further by offering young artists from Wales, national and international exposure.

The first recipient of the Wales International Young Artist Award was Andrew Morris, 23, from Swansea. Andrew has since gone on to have his work featured in print and online, and has also benefitted from his first solo show at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. Andrew’s work will go on to travel across the world via the global network of British Council Offices.

Young artists interested in entering can belong to a range of creative backgrounds including painting, sculpture, as well as photography, graphic design, printmaking, drawing and film.
