Future Leaders Connect

What is it?
Future Leaders Connect is a programme, organised by British Council Wales in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government and BBC Wales.  

It gives you the opportunity to develop relationships with UK counterparts through short attachments with relevant departments in the Welsh Assembly Government and BBC Wales.  

What are the benefits?

  • Networking with key professional contacts that may benefit you in the future
  • Share experiences with appropriate UK professionals
  • A chance to enhance your own professional development
  • An opportunity to experience how a UK government operates

Who can apply?
The programme is open to students studying at institutions in Wales who hold a British Council-managed scholarship.  Principally this is Chevening award holders, Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan award holders and Ford Foundation International Fellowship award holders, although it may include some others.

When?
We will be inviting scholars to apply in Febuary 2011.

The programme lasts for two weeks, usually at the end of your course.
