The British Council aims to strengthen understanding and trust between and within different cultures. We aim to promote a just and inclusive society. Through our work in this area we aim to:

•Strengthen the consensus for rejecting all extremism
•Facilitate individual and organisational contribution to positive social change and improvement of civil society
•Increase the use of English as a tool for international communication and intercultural understanding

We work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to deliver a variety projects and programmes in this area connecting Wales to the world and the world to the Wales.
