Comenius provides funded opportunities for schools and colleges to introduce or strengthen the European dimension in their curriculum through creating partnerships with other educational institutions and professional development. The new Comenius Regio partnerships allow local authorities to participate directly.

Global Xchange aims to support the development of active global citizens, committed to working for positive change within communities. The Global Xchange programme is a six-month exchange programme which gives young people (aged 18 to 25) from different countries a unique opportunity to work together, to develop and share valuable skills and to make a practical contribution where it is needed in local communities.
The Lefèvre Trust aims to increase understanding and trust between young people in the UK and France by providing funding to support one-way or reciprocal visits that are part of innovative projects.
The Youth in Action Programme provides mobility projects and opportunities for young Europeans. It also promotes the development of good quality national and local initiatives involving young people. Youth in Action is operated by the European Commission and administrated by the National Authorities and National Agencies.
WorldSkills UK provides around 70 quality assured skills competitions. Run annually, these competitions aim to encourage young people and adults across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to excel in their vocational skill area
