National Dance Company Wales
Following a successful development trip supported by the British Council Connections Through Culture India-UK scheme, National Dance Company Wales is working with STEM Dance Kampni, based in Bangalore, India on a 3-city tour of India from 25th November to 7th December 2011.

Dance Encounters
Dance Encounters explores risk taking in international dance programming. The event also includes a Migrations international performance and some special ‘après-symposium’ entertainment! Galeri, Caernarfon, Thu 31 March and Fri 1 April 2011.

Exhibition at Glynn Vivian, presenting a wide range of recent film and video in various spaces throughout the gallery, 26 February – 3 April 2011.

Sacred rock carvings arrive in Wales
Visitors to National Museum Cardiff will have an exclusive opportunity to see a unique exhibition of ancient rock carvings from China - sculptures which have never before been seen outside China. From Steep Hillsides: Ancient Rock Carvings from Dazu, China will be exhibited from Wednesday 26 January to Sunday 3 April 2011.

  • March 24th, 2011 Special Evening Lecture – Connecting through Culture
    The British Council will host a special panel discussion at National Museum Cardiff to celebrate cultural connections between China and Wales. The panel will feature speakers from the creative sector in Wales that have participated in the British Council’s Connections through Culture, China-UK programme and other British Council projects.


Emergence


Emergence is a series of creative, interactive conferences for people working in the arts in Wales. It’s an opportunity to network, share ideas, ask questions and get tools for a more sustainable practice; to celebrate the anarchic and unpredictable spirit of art and learn practical ways in which artists can make a difference in these times of ecological, economic and social instability.
