BRITISH COUNCIL WALES ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The British Council creates international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and builds trust between them worldwide. It is the UK’s leading international organisation for cultural relations with representation in 110 countries around the world.

To assist us in the quality and independence of our thinking, we rely on the expert advice of the UK Country Advisory Committees.

We deliver:

  • More widespread and better quality teaching and learning of English worldwide
  • New ways of connecting with and seeing each other through the arts
  • Enhanced UK leadership of and shared learning from international education
  • Stronger global citizenship among people in the UK and worldwide

We do this by:

  • Sharing the UK’s expertise, experience and content
  • Strengthening the UK’s international collaboration and partnerships
  • Increasing understanding between people of different cultures
  • Supporting development of people and societies

The British Council is committed to a policy of equal opportunity and is keen to reflect the diversity of UK society at every level within the organisation. We welcome applications from all sections of the community. We guarantee an interview to disabled candidates who meet the essential criteria. Applicants who do not read standard text should state preferred format for application pack: large print, Braille, computer disk or audio tape.
