The British Council's Welsh Language Scheme

The British Council recognises the principle of equality between English and Welsh and is committed to communicating bilingually with the public in Wales. This publication of a Welsh Language Scheme incorporates many of the current working practices of the British Council and formalises language policies, as required by the Welsh Language Board.

Comments and Complaints relating to Welsh Language Issues
In accordance with the Welsh Language Act 1993, British Council has adopted the principle that the English and Welsh languages should be treated on a basis of equality and has prepared a Welsh Language Scheme outlining the measures it intends to take to respect that principle. Any comments or complaints relating to Welsh Language policy should be addressed to this mailbox.
