TeachingEnglishinVietnam winners announced

Following a competition run on the Teaching English in Vietnam site towards the end of 2010 where teachers uploaded useful resources for other Vietnamese teachers, the six winners have been announced.

The competiton has been whole-heartedly welcomed by upper-secondary teachers of English throughout Vietnam. The British Council received over 200 entries from every corner of the country.

FIRST PRIZE: (3 prizes), each prize is a 2-week study course in the UK about English Teaching Methodology:

  • North: Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Tran Nguyen Han High School, Kien An District, Hai phong
  • Centre: Mr Truong Quoc Phu, Nguyen Trai High School, CuMgar, Daklak
  • South: Ms Pham Thi Mai Ha, Luu Huu Phuoc High School, Omon, Can Tho

RUNNER-UP: (3 prizes), each prize is a 3-day trip to Singapore to attend the RELC Conference on English Language Teaching:

  • North: Ms Nguyen Phuong Anh, Viet Duc High School, Hanoi
  • Centre: Ms Phan Thi Oanh, Le Viet Thuat High School, Vinh City, Nghe An
  • South: Ms Tran Van Ri, An Thoi High School, Mo Cay District, Ben Tre
