I was born in London, England and brought up in a nice little area called East Finchley, which is in North London. I lived there for just over thirty years working in various business positions. I had never travelled until I received an invitation from a friend going to Koh Samui, Thailand, for the millennium. It was a great holiday. After that, I began taking longer and longer trips abroad until February 2003 when I went to my friends wedding, an ESL teacher in Vietnam, and really liked the environment. Seeing how happy he was I decided to become an ESL teacher and studied to work in that career. I spent about one year in the UK to gain experience in this field and left for Taiwan to teach. I only spent one year there, but travelled around a lot in the country. My next stop was Japan. This was a great experience but short lived, as I returned with my girlfriend to Taiwan. Later, I thought about my career options and saw I needed to develop further as a teacher, so I found out about the DELTA course running in Vietnam. I saw this was a great opportunity so I took it and have now passed the course. Usually, I spend a lot of time teaching, but when I'm relaxing I like to go swimming and climbing. Additionally I enjoy meeting friends to explore parts of Vietnam and the nearby countries for new experiences.
