I am from Bristol, in the south-west of England. I completed my business studies degree in 1994 and did a TEFL qualification a year later.

I taught English in Thailand, Bangkok and Kanchanaburi for a few years then in China, Shanghai, Tsingtao and Ningbo. In 2001 I returned to England to do a professional qualification in teaching and from there I taught in English schools and colleges for five years.

In 2008 I decided to work with the British Council in Ho Chi Minh City and continue my career in EFL teaching.
