I’m originally from Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, but have lived in several countries. I have travelled rather extensively and it was whilst travelling in 2002 that I first tried my hand at teaching English.
My teaching career began in Indonesia where I worked with children and adults in local schools and colleges. I enjoyed teaching so much that I went on to teach in Japan and Canada. I then decided to return to the UK and enhance my knowledge and skills of teaching English.
I studied at university in London where I gained a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Teaching English, and later a Masters in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics from King’s College, London. During this time in London I continued teaching English to students from all over the world, including Vietnam and other Asian countries, Europe, and South America.
I have now returned to Asia and feel honoured to work with such delightful and diligent students here in Vietnam. I look forward to learning more about Vietnamese people and their fascinating culture.
In my free time I enjoy travelling, reading, playing guitar, and when I can drag myself away from these, swimming and mountain biking.
