British Council IBD Team
Spring term

2013 is a special year for the British Council in Vietnam. It marks our 20th anniversary, and 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UK.

To celebrate this milestone, alongside our quality teaching programmes, we are also offering several exciting extra-curricular events and give-aways.

  • Quiz Nights/ Pub Quizzes are fun competitions enjoyed by many young adults and adults (Hanoi Teaching centre).
  • A weekly British culture programme will give adult students a fascinating insight into British culture while strengthening communication skills (Hanoi Teaching centre).
  • VND 100 million in lucky draw prizes.
  • Hundreds of British Council branded gifts to be given out at registration.

We listen to our students.  This means that our courses are continually updated and improved to meet the expectations and needs of our Vietnamese students.  This spring term, experience:

Young Adult courses. These provide all the skills necessary to compete at the best universities at home and abroad. Students will begin to engage with a wider global context and be given the tools to confidently express their ideas about it. Course elements include research skills, and report and essay writing for tertiary education.

IELTS skills courses.  We aim to equip students with the know-how to achieve the best scores they can. Our courses have been written by experts with extensive IELTS experience and are delivered to the highest standards.

Pronunciation lessons for Elementary and Pre-Intermediate. These apply to all young adult and adult students.  Our students have told us how important pronunciation is to them. Consequently we have developed a course to complement our general English ones that focus on the sounds that Vietnamese speakers find most difficult.  This helps our students pronounce and recognise the sounds of English more confidently and clearly and helps them communicate better.

Come and experience quality teaching and fun events in the spring term at the British Council, starting 8 January 2013.

The British Council Hanoi office is closed for a holiday from 22/12/2012 to 02/01/2013.  However placement tests can still be booked. Please contact us on (04) 37281922
