Increased demand for the quality teaching provided by British Council in Ho Chi Minh City has been behind the decision to open an additional centre for young learners and young adults at Le Quy Don Elite High School.
The new teaching centre which has been up and running since 8 February, is just a short walk away from the current District 1, Le Duan site, at 110 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. It offers the same package that has kept students returning to BC course after course.
That includes the same quality teaching provided by experienced teachers based on a syllabus that’s been developed and proven to work worldwide. It means the same standard of equipment and facilities including the book-lending scheme.
It also means the same access to the popular extra curricula activities that British Council offers.
In addition, the new teaching centre offers more flexible class times, easy parking, a canteen - not to mention an inspirational learning environment at an elite high school set in a beautiful French style building with cool, shady grounds.
HCMC Director Alison Ball said: “When we looked at what people wanted from British Council Vietnam it was simply that they wanted more access to what we offer and more flexibility. Working with Le Quy Don we have been able to offer this in a wonderful environment so close to our current premises enabling more students to take their first stride towards global citizenship.
“We’re up and running with nearly 200 students registered for our current young learner term. The response from our students, staff and teachers has been exceptional and we are looking forward to registering even more students for our March and Summer terms.”
