Gary Bird

My name is Gary, I’m a teacher and I arrived in Hanoi this September. I have been teaching English since 1993 and working for the British Council since 1995. Before coming to Hanoi I taught in Hungary, South Korea, Hong Kong, Egypt, Myanmar, and most recently, in Bahrain. As well as being a teacher, I am a Cambridge ESOL and IELTS examiner and examiner trainer. I really like what I’ve seen of Hanoi so far, especially the people and the city itself….But not the traffic!
