The British Council is a world leader in the teaching of English, and has been teaching English for over 70 years throughout the world. Our Teaching Centre in Hanoi has been open since 1993, and in 1997 we opened our Teaching Centre in Ho Chi Minh City.

Our modern classrooms are attractive, and equipped with the latest technology.  For example, our interactive whiteboards in Hanoi Teaching Centre allow teachers to take their class on a journey to the UK during lessons. These ‘virtual windows’ on the world not only play CDs and DVDs with digital surround sound, but they also offer instant access to the Internet and advanced software programmes… all of which means livelier lessons and more effective learning.

All students have free access to our Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city multimedia Info UK centres, where they can watch thousands of films, listen to music, and read newspapers from the UK. Special learning resources including IELTS preparation materials and talks with native English speakers on UK culture help you practise English, whilst having fun and broadening your understanding of international issues.
