WHO WE ARE

The British Council is the United Kingdom’s principal international organisation for education and cultural relations. Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries. We have offices in over 100 countries around the world. We are a not-for-profit organisation and are registered in the UK as a charity.

We began operating in Vietnam in 1993 and have offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

What we do

Our overall aim is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the Vietnam and the UK and increase appreciation in Vietnam of the UK's creative ideas and achievements.

We have projects with Vietnamese partners and offer development opportunities for individuals, education institutions, and government and business organisations in the following areas: Arts, Culture and Creativity ; Education and English Language; Governance and Information about the UK.
