The British Council is the United Kingdom's principal organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations and our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relations between people in the UK and in other countries. We are inviting professional and dynamic candidates for the following post to work in Customer Services Department. Based in Hanoi, you will:
- Enquiries and Sales: answer enquiries received with a focus on sales, meet personal targets for converting enquiries to sales; meet Teaching centre and Exams business targets; Accept customer feedback in written, oral or electronic form and process or forward according to procedures;
- Registration and financial control: register students and collect fees for customers joining English courses or taking examinations, Issue VAT invoices, maintain petty cash and carry out daily reconciliation of revenue;
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that the Front of House area are welcoming, functional, reflects and promotes the diversity of contemporary UK at all the times; Ensure that the Study area is updated, is useful and is attractively presented; and is used by increasing numbers of students and exam candidates;
- Internal support to the Teaching centre and Exams team.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong evidence of behaviours and similar experience in:
- Handling Customer service-related works (2 – 3 years)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, in English and Vietnamese
- Excellent customer service mind
- Organisational skill, Communication & interpersonal skills, teamworking spirit
- Computer proficiency, knowledge of SAP will be advantage
- Handling challenging customers
- Professional confidence
- Meeting BC standard behaviours for the post: Connecting with others, working together, being accountable
Contract status: Indefinite contract or fixed-term 6 month contract (starting February-March 2012)
Gross salary following British Council local grade H, according to experience and qualifications, together with attractive benefit package and career development opportunities.
