Have a look at the Read-a-thon's event held on 7th February all over the world! A conference As part of the international "Dickens 2012" project to celebrate the great writer's bicentenary, the British School at Rome will host a seminar looking at Dickens through an international perspective - his travels to the United States, his extended stay in Italy and his home in Victorian England. The event is organised by the British Council and the Associazione Italiana di Anglistica in collaboration with the three Universities of Rome and John Cabot University. Speakers include John Bowen (University of York), Elisabetta Marino (Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”), Mario Martino (Università di Roma “Sapienza”), Shannon Russell (John Cabot University), Marisa Sestito (Università di Udine).
