Projects Officer

Dedication: full time
Temporary post: from 1 November 2012 to 28 February 2013.

Job Aim

To support the planning, promotion, management, delivery and evaluation of project outputs, working with partners, external service providers and stakeholders to meet the British Council's strategic objectives and engagement targets in the Americas region and in accordance with British Council values and Customer Service and Equal Opportunity and Diversity standards.

Among the different duties, the Project Officer will:

  • Support the planning and the delivery of project outputs through partnerships to meet all projects, within financial compliance and other guidelines
  • Support the delivery or regional/country agreed marketing and communications plans for outputs of specific projects as outlined in the Marketing and Communications plans for local and large scale projects
  • Provide planned and agreed support to the delivery of activity
  • Help identify potential partners and work effectively with already existing partners for projects

Special requirements:

  • Project and Contract Management
  • Proven experience in project delivery
  • Ability to operate in English and Spanish at a good operational level
