The UzTEA 2008 Annual Conference “Professional Development Opportunities for ELT” will be held on November 28 - 29, 2008 at Dedeman Tashkent Silkroad Hotel.

It is dedicated to different aspects of professional development and will focus on the following areas:

• English for teachers   
• In-service Teacher training  
• Pre-service Teacher Training  
• Material development and adaptation
• Mentoring and peer support
• Encouraging intercultural dialogue in the classroom
• Reflection and classroom research

We would welcome proposals outlining practical workshops and presentations based on personal experiences in professional development for ELT.

All presentations and/or workshops will last 40 minutes and should relate to the theme of the conference. Abstracts [description of the contents of the workshop / presentation] must be no more than 100 words. The closing date for abstract submission is 15th Oct 2008.
