On April 23-27, British Council together with the project teams of its key partnering institutions have committed to doing variety of green acts ranging from individual and family walks instead of using transport to/from work/study places to planting trees and cycling.

This activity involved around 95 people across the facebook social network, these were the activists of Kelajak Lingvo, Culture Week groups, PSG, ETTE, Teacher and Students, Youth Employment Centre, All about books and Neo Consulting groups as well as people from Italy, Pakistan and USA, and ninety per cent of the British Council Uzbekistan staff. It is interesting to underline that majority of the active participants were people aged 25+ . Another interesting discovery was that BC Uzbekistan staff likes walking a lot.

Small “green” presents celebrated the Green Week and highlighted British Council Uzbekistan everyday green work. For more information on BC Green Policy, please contact Emine Sheykhametova
