UzTEA
The Uzbek Teachers of English Association

UzTEA has branches in 13 cities (Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Nukus, Urganch, Namangan, Andijon, Karshi, Termez, Guliston, Kokand and Angren) and a national membership of over 1000 teachers and student teachers.

What we do

We work in partnership with UzTEA through the following:

providing professional development seminars for its members
supporting the annual national conference
sponsoring the 'Teachers of Excellence Awards'
assisting with the publication of the quarterly newsletter
supporting the participation of UzTEA board members in regional meetings of English Teachers' Associations

What is the role of the members?

UzTEA members play active roles in many of our ELT projects and we continue to offer advice and support to the two UzTEA Teachers Resource Centres in Samarkand and Fergana which we helped establish in 2002.

Who can join UzTEA?

Membership of UzTEA is open to all practising English teachers and to students who are undergoing training to become teachers. For more information on how to join contact UzTEA.
