1. What is Teaching English Blogathon?
Just what it sounds like - a blogging marathon. The TeachingEnglish Blogathon is an online event that brings together teachers of English to share good practice in ELT and find out more about blogging. Starting on 1 Feb 2013, teachers of English will contribute to the TeachingEnglish blogging marathon which lasts until 28 Feb 2013. Teachers with the biggest number of interesting, engaging and motivating blogs will win valuable prizes!
A weblog, or more commonly a blog, is a personal web page made up of frequently updated pages. It is used to voice opinions, ideas, views and comments on a particular subject matter, interests or current affairs. People who create blogs are known as bloggers and the process of keeping a blog is known as blogging.

TeachingEnglish Blogathon aims to invite all teaching professionals, whether you are teaching at university or pre-school level, to find out about trends in the English Language Teaching. Moreover, this is a great chance to tell us more about how you use technology in your teaching and get inspired by ideas from other teachers.

It will take place on the British Council Teaching English website.
