Magnum Photo Exhibition at the UCLA Court of Sciences

March 6 - 17, 2006

A photographic exhibition highlighting the urgent need to combat environmental challenges at the local, national and global levels, NorthSouthEastWest chronicles the impact of climate change in communities from all parts of the globe, as seen through the lenses of ten of the world’s top photographers.

NorthSouthEastWest is brought to you by the British Council USA in partnership with the UCLA Institute of the Environment and the GSA Sustainable Resource Center. The exhibition is part of the British Council’s global ZeroCarbonCity initiative, a two-year campaign to raise awareness and stimulate debate about climate change and the challenges faced around the world.

		Join Magnum photographer Alex Majoli in the Court of Sciences as he shares his experiences in Africa for NorthSouthEastWest. Photo contest winners will be announced! Open to the public. Food and drinks will be served. T-shirts and promotional items for students.

		Dr. Irene Lorenzoni of the Tyndall Center for Climate Change Research will present “Does tomorrow ever come? Meanings, interpretations and communication of climate change.” Open to the public; food and drinks will be served.
