CLIMATE CHANGE

The British Council is stepping up its activities to support the UK government’s international strategy to combat climate change. Success in this area depends on building a commitment to concerted international action. This commitment does not yet exist, but with our worldwide network and contact with young people we are ideally placed to work with other committed individuals and organizations and partners across the UK to develop it.

Our specific objective in this area is to establish networks of young people who can mobilize public support to achieve and then implement post-Kyoto/2012 agreements and to devise solutions to the challenges presented by global warming.
