is part of a year-long project run by the British Council, led by our office in Switzerland, in partnership with the World Economic Forum. The initiative provides an opportunity for individuals between the ages of 20-25 to discuss solutions to current problems in education and to share their vision for the future.
Sixty participants from 50 countries attended the January 2007 forum in Greenwich, London to discuss issues around tolerance and diversity in schools, colleges, and universities around the world. After hearing from a panel of education experts, participants worked together to consider ways to address current issues and to formulate their own ideas for the future of education across the globe.
At the closing session of the forum, participants selected six individuals from their group to represent them at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland from January 24-28, 2007.

As part of their program, participants were also involved in a range of community education projects at the University of East London, St. Ethelburga's, Spitalfields and Charlton Athletic FC. These activities served to enhance their awareness of the ways in which education in a variety of settings can help foster inclusivity, tolerance, and diversity in society. |
