| Enroll directly at a UK university | You can apply directly to a UK university that accepts study abroad students. Direct enrollment will afford great opportunities to meet British students and fully immerse yourself in the culture. Our Study Abroad Database lists places where you can apply. |
|---|---|
| University exchange | Your university may have arrangements with UK universities where a certain number of US students go to the UK for a term in exchange for a number of UK students at the US institution. These programs are usually competitive and are not found at every US university. |
| Third-party study abroad providers | You can apply directly to an outside organisation that will handle the logistics of enrolling US students at a program it has established with a UK university. These programs normally provide social events, guaranteed accomodation, orientation and support, but will charge an extra processing fee. |
| Island programs | Your university may have programs set up where its students go overseas together and take classes, normally taught by US professors. These programs are not run at UK universities. |
