Cost of living

The cost of living varies from one part of the UK to another. Generally, London, and the Southeast of England are more expensive than northern England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

In addition to tuition fees, you should allow about £7,000 for a nine-month academic year (8,000-10,000 Great British Pounds for a 12-month academic year - convert currency) for London, Oxford and Cambridge. You should allow £5,000-£6,000 per nine months (£6,500-£8,000 per 12 months - convert currency) if you are outside those three locations. These funds should cover the cost of normal daily expenses, accommodation, food, return flight and extra travel.

Note that to meet immigration requirements, you will need to prove that you can fund your study and living expenses.
