Poet and performer Nii Ayikwei Parkes is the latest UK writer to participate in British Council UK Writer-in-Residence program at California State University, Los Angeles. While at Cal State L.A. this spring, Nii will lecture, teach and hold public readings in the Los Angeles area.

Nii joins other contemporary British literary stars as part of an ongoing initiative at major American universities. Read more about the UK Writer-in-Residence program in our special feature.
